From the Principal

The K-8 school currently has 120 students enrolled. Through our Personalized Learning Model, students participate in enrichment classes in the core subject areas of language arts, math, and science two to three days per week and complete the remainder of the curriculum at home under the supervision of a parent and a credentialed teacher from the school. Another option for students is full-time home study, with the same support and supervision from the teacher. Students in grades Kindergarten through twelve have many elective enrichment classes which include living history docent programs, on-scene science docent programs at Coleman National Fish Hatchery and Turtle Bay Museum.

Stellar Charter High School currently serves 80 students in grades nine through twelve. We are fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In addition to the Personalized Learning Model mentioned above, our high school students have a wide range of elective classes. Their options include photography, ceramics workshop, Recording Arts, Guitar, Piano, Creative Writing Club, and Science Club.

We offer a wide range of programs plus onsite intervention and enrichment curricula, including technological resources. The school provides high-quality and state adopted curricula. Each student works directly with a teacher of record under an independent study contract that includes weekly meetings with teachers. Our flexible scheduling and personalized learning plans offer an engaging educational alternative for our students.

Our school’s vision statement, Success Through Academic Excellence, mirrors our goal to combine effective school elements in a program that empowers students to meet California’s rigorous academic standards. It is our belief that every student can achieve academic success through the educational program offered at our K-12 charter school.
